Just Now: Domaine Degher 2009 Cabernet Sauvignon wins Gold and the 2008 Mojo (67% Cab & 33%) takes Silver. Entered two wines and won two medals…not bad for a guitar player…

August 18, 2011 – 5:30 PM – Join winemaker Denis Degher at Vintage 1255 Wine Bar (formerly Monterey Street Wines) at 1255 Monterey Street in beautiful San Luis Obispo. Degher will be pouring new medal winners including the 2009 Old School Estate – the premier vintage from Domaine Degher’s organic hilltop vineyard and other medal winners and new releases.
Friday Aug 5, 2011 – 8-11 PM- Vinoteca Wine Bar presents a special evening of music with Denis Degher (aka Sleepy Guitar Johnson) and Casey Biggs (The Paso Wine Man) and Darrell Voss. Come out for this one of kind show with Biggs and Degher trading songs and backing each other with the amazing Voss on drums and percussion.

The premier release of the 2009 Old School Estate from our organic-head-pruned vineyard took a Silver Medal. Our young 2009 Cabernet Sauvignon also took a Silver. And our big smooth 2006 Mojo received a Bronze.

Winemaker Denis Degher is taking his award winning wines to Bern’s Fine Wines and Side Berns restaurant for a six course tasting and pairing.
Berns Fine Wines and the famous Bern’s Steak is home to one of the most renowned and amazing wine cellars in the entire world.
In celebration of the release of our 2008 Mojo we’ll be pouring a three year Mojo vertical: 2006, 2007 & 2008. And from our organic estate, we are introducing our Grenache, Mourvedre & Syrah blend: the 2009 Old School Estate. We’ll also be pouring the Gold Medal 2007 Cabernet Sauvignon and the 2007 Red Zone blend.
